What this is,
stated plainly.
Conditioning is the engine behind every fighter. Here is exactly what this coaching is, who it is for, and how it works — stated plainly.
What MMA conditioning
actually is.
Fighting is repeated explosive effort: burst, recover, burst again — for rounds. MMA conditioning trains exactly that: the strength to be powerful, the engine to repeat it, and the mobility to move well while tired. It is not random hard workouts; it is structured training built around the demands of combat sports. Read more about Mah’s background on the About page.
- Full-body strength as the base for everything else
- Grip, core and posterior chain — the fighter’s chain
- Progressive loading scaled to your equipment and level
- Turn strength into speed: jumps, throws and explosive lifts
- Power you can repeat, round after round
- Sport-specific power endurance, not just max effort
- Round-based conditioning that mimics fight demands
- Energy-system work: aerobic base plus high-intensity repeats
- Recovery between efforts trained as a skill
- Hips, shoulders and thoracic mobility for striking and grappling
- Prehab work for the joints combat sports punish
- Move well while tired — technique under fatigue

Asked, and answered straight.
Do I need to be a fighter to start MMA conditioning coaching?
No. Many clients are grapplers, combat-sport hobbyists, or fans who simply want to train like a fighter. Your plan is scaled to your current fitness and experience — you do not need a fight record, a team, or any intention of competing.
Do I need a gym?
No. Your conditioning plan can be built entirely around home training and bodyweight work. If you do have gym access or equipment like dumbbells and kettlebells, the plan will put them to use — but they are not required to start.
Is this fight technique coaching, or conditioning?
This page is strength & conditioning: the strength, power, endurance and mobility that let a fighter perform. It is not fight-technique instruction. If you want to learn striking technique itself, see Online Kickboxing Coaching.
What equipment do I need?
You can start with your bodyweight and a small clear space. As you progress, simple tools like dumbbells, a kettlebell or resistance bands add options — your coach will tell you honestly what is worth adding and what is not.
How fast will I see results?
Conditioning responds to consistent work, but the timeline depends on your starting point, training history, sleep and nutrition — so no honest coach will promise you a number or a date. What you get is a structured plan, progressive training and weekly check-ins that keep the work moving forward.
One free call. An honest answer.
Mah will assess your starting point and tell you honestly which program fits — or whether now is the right time at all.
